My name is Kevin Wiley, I opened Flaming Eagle in 2013, but I have been around firearms since I was 7 years old. By the time I was 13 I was tearing down the firearms I had and putting them back together to learn how they work.

            In 2012 after my 3^rd joint replacement, I realized I was going to have to find a different career than being a Market Manager for Harris Teeter.  I was always on my feet on concrete and in the cold for long hours every day, so it was natural that my love of firearms led me to take the American Gunsmithing Institution (AGI) courses to expand my knowledge even more on firearms. I worked that whole year taking the courses while still managing my job at Harris Teeter. In March of 2013 I opened Flaming Eagle Gunsmith and Firearms.

            I have operated the business part time up until 2020 when I made the decision due to health reasons to retire from Harris Teeter in October of 2020 and go full time for the business, and since then I haven’t looked back.
